Stories in Our Hands is a reading event where d/Deaf and hard of hearing children experience books the way they were meant to — through hands, language, and connection. Each event features a book read in both ASL by a d/Deaf or hard of hearing reader and Spoken English, followed by crafts and activities.

Who Should Join
Stories in Our Hands is open to d/Deaf and hard of hearing children and their families, as well as any family who wants their child to see themselves in a story — and in the person telling it.
What You Can Expect
Every event features a dual-language book reading in ASL and Spoken English, led by a d/Deaf or hard of hearing reader, followed by crafts and activities. ASL interpretation is provided at every event, and Spanish or other language interpretation is available upon request.
