About us
Mission
To support families with children who are d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication modes or methodology.
Vision
A world where children who are d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing have every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Values
We believe that children who are d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing and their families should have access to all services appropriate to their needs. We believe that communication mode should be a personal choice of the family and the child.
What works for your child is what makes the choice right.
National statistics report that 99% of babies identified with hearing loss are born to families with no prior understanding or knowledge of deafness.
This can be a daunting and confusing time for families, often absorbing a lot of information while dealing with significant emotional stress.
It is crucial that families be connected with professionals and services that specialize in working with families of children who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing. And who understand what you’re going through.
As a parent-driven organization, we understand first-hand the value that comes with access to the most recent guidance, having support from experienced parents, and making connections with other families and community members regardless of communication mode.
