About the event
Being a caregiver to a child who is d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing means navigating systems, schools, and conversations where bias—intentional or not—can sometimes shape how your child is seen and supported. This month’s Caregiver Circle creates space to talk honestly about those experiences and how families can respond with advocacy, allyship, and confidence.
Our Caregiver Circles are welcoming spaces for parents and caregivers to connect, share stories, and build resilience together. Each session offers real conversation, understanding, and encouragement from those who get it.
This month’s conversation will feature:
Claire Lombardo-Miller, CCC-SLP, NIC — a speech-language pathologist and ASL-English interpreter at The Learning Center for the Deaf. With two decades of experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and families, Claire’s work centers on allyship, Deaf-hearing collaboration, and cultural humility. She’ll share insights on recognizing and addressing bias in early intervention and educational settings—and how professionals can partner with families…
